After earning my vocational diploma in English, I played with the very first female rock band in Thailand for 1 year. I still play music but now my favorite instrument is the cello. I met my husband, Chaloemphon, in Chiang Mai, the land of ancient cultures and center of Thai handcrafts. Chaloemphon made heavy leather goods. I was able to help in his business with my English skills and other work experience. I took some leather courses from our friend Pikmi, who has taught me many things about designing and working with leather. Soon I discovered that Chiang Mai is a wonderful source of fine fabrics, including tribal embroideries and traditional striped silk. I began to incorporate these into handcrafted leather bags and we started getting many orders. I am very happy doing this work. I like talking with clients, and fulfilling their desires. Sometimes I am able to help them with fabric details like how to choose the right one."
